Faith communities and nonprofit institutions exist to serve people across generations, circumstances, and moments of need. Their work includes caring for seniors, supporting family stability, nurturing wellness, protecting dignity, and stewarding shared resources, work that is sacred and complex.

Often, institutions are left to navigate these responsibilities alone, managing systems, services, and decisions that were never meant to be carried in isolation.

Lighthouse Alliance exists to change that, together. We are building something powerful and we want your house of worship or nonprofit to be part of it.

THE POWER OF AN ALLIANCE

Why an alliance? Because institutions are stronger, and spend less when they act together. Independently, we absorb costs. Collectively, we reduce them.

By aligning, faith-based and nonprofit institutions gain shared negotiating power, shared resources, and coordinated support that are not available when operating alone. Working collectively allows institutions to reduce operating costs, access better services, and create more stable, predictable outcomes for their congregations and communities.

Power With Purpose: Activating the Alliance

Power With Purpose is one way Lighthouse Alliance turns shared values into real, visible community impact.

Through Power With Purpose, Lighthouse Alliance works with churches and nonprofit institutions to support and help fund mission-aligned events that serve both congregations and the surrounding community. These events are designed to reduce the financial and logistical burden on institutions while strengthening outreach, fellowship, and stewardship.

Power With Purpose Supported Events May Include:

Power With Purpose events
  • Community Wellness & Resource Fairs Featuring health screenings, financial literacy resources, workforce connections, energy and utility education, and youth and family support
  • Gospel Nights & Cultural Arts Evenings Celebrating faith through music, testimony, and messages from church leadership
  • Church Anniversaries, Homecomings, and Appreciation Events Honoring legacy, service, and community impact

Each gathering is framed around stewardship, community care, and long-term sustainability, with solar and energy education presented as one tool among many to help protect families and institutions.

Funding and support levels vary by event and are determined collaboratively.

The Lighthouse Alliance is built on seven core pillars designed to uplift people first while strengthening institutions in the process.

FOCUS AREAS & PARTNERSHIP PRIORITIES

Lighthouse Alliance is an Accord Power Inc. initiative, creating a growing cooperative of faith based and nonprofit institutions, community advocates, and mission aligned partners. Grounded in long standing community engagement, including our work through the Solar1 Barrio Program offering solar assistance to low to moderate income families, our work with the New York City Housing Authority, and solar education at Rikers Island, Accord Power brings a deep commitment to equity, resilience, and service within underserved communities.

Our work is rooted in collaboration. We are actively seeking and vetting trusted partners across the focus areas below so that services are delivered with integrity, transparency, and accountability. As the alliance grows, partner organizations will help shape and strengthen the resources made available to congregations and communities.

The following areas represent where Lighthouse Alliance is intentionally building relationships and funding pathways to better serve institutions and the people they support over time.

A Proven Example of How This Works

One area where this cooperative model has already shown success is the energy infrastructure. When institutions participate collectively, financing partners are willing to:

  • Reduce upfront costs
  • Offer long-term fixed pricing
  • Provide more flexible terms than individual institutions could access alone

When we commit together, opportunity expands for everyone.
